What We Do

We are working on an exciting project to help improve the lives of South African rural farmers while achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals of Poverty Alleviation, Food Security, Climate Change, Women Empowerment, Clean Energy, Reduced Inequality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and more.

SLE assists rural farmers to get their fresh produce from the field to the market through technological innovation and community co-operation.

Helping the Community

With this initiative, our goal is to provide rural farmers in need of access to external markets with opportunities to sell their produce. Directly interacting online with transporters and buyers, farmers finally get a chance to contribute efficiently to national and global growth, as well as to an increase in their quality of life.

One Step at a Time

ALI, the Technologically Enhanced Vertical Farming Structure

This is our solution to the shortage of arable lands to farm in and the overuse of pest control chemicals. We implement more sustainable and environmentally-friendly ways of farming that empower farmers, help them to gain confidence to fulfil their potential and to become more than ever relevant economic role players.

The Context

SLE deals with smallholder farmers who use old ways of farming and who are not merchandising. The farmers work alone and with their bare hands, which protects the environment and which creates and maintains job opportunities. In addition, this way of farming is sustainable and environmentally-friendly as small pieces of land are cultivated. Most of these farmers already possess extensive farming skills, but we can support them in achieving a comfortable livelihood by taking their produce to bigger consumers or buyers.
